Last Tuesday the club held it’s meeting at Valerie’s barn, unfortunately I was away on holiday so missed it.
However, Desmond Fox has kindly taken some photographs of the evening.
Many club members have benefited and gained experience over the years and it was a chance to show off their works to family members and friends at an exhibition held over this weekend.
Tuesday night was a good social evening in a lovely barn with refreshments
Valerie kindly provided the stands and lighting to portray the images
and what a lovely setting it was for the evening.
I was lucky to attend the exhibition on Saturday afternoon in such lovely weather
Lawrence explaining a few details on how the pictures were set up
Lots of space to view the pictures
Brian and Steve chat over tea.
Yesterday afternoon Brian set up some lighting and took pictures of a model showing us various ways of using the lighting to enhance the pictures.
Brian will be giving a similar course today using Desmond Fox as the model, so if you get chance today to come I believe the photo shoot starts around 2 pm in the barn.
League Challenge Cup winner Peter discusses his new set of photographs for this coming year whilst third place Kathy listens in for some tips lol
but I think Kathy might have other ideas lol
refreshments were had by all
a lovely venue and some of us had a walk around the wonderful garden on Saturday and Valerie’s husband Richard acted as the guide showing us around and we learned of his passion for gardening and stories of various plants he keeps.
Valerie our kind host on the left
Lawrence and Julia discuss his Coombe Hill snow picture
So last chance to see the exhibition today if you did not get a chance last week, time is between 1i.00 am and 3 pm
as mentioned Brian brought along a model to demostrate how various lighting settings worked on Saturday afternoon and taking these five images
Sunday Brian did a similar session using Des Fox and Alan Taberer as models
I loved Sunday afternoon watching Brian, thank you for your time Brian
I hear that club fees are due again
Now we don’t want to have to call round
and we don’t want the Mafia to be involved lol
Cos we are really a friendly club lol
There we are I did a blog and wasn’t even there
Next Tuesday is at the club’s hall
The Exposure Triangle/Beginners Course Part 1
Tuesday September 24, 2019 from 20:15 to 22:15
A split night. In the main hall we’ll be doing a semi-practical session looking at control of the three elements of exposure, ISO, shutter speed and aperture and the effect they have on your photos. Please bring your camera as we want to make sure everyone ends up both understanding what the elements are and how to access these parameters on their camera. We will also be setting you all a challenge….
In the back room we will be running the first of three sessions for beginners covering basic elements of photography, kit and software.
