Humour print competition
This week, we held the first of our print competitions for the 2014/15 season. The subject was “Humour” and we had 25 entries for the evening. Many thanks go to Mary Ward from Ealing & Hampshire House Photographic Society for the unenviable task of judging quite a varied interpretation of the subject.
Five held back images
Over the course of the evening, Mary held back 5 prints for final scoring as follows:
- “Kleenex Cow” – Christal Barlow-Bates
- “I’m next” – Sherron Razey
- “Smile for the camera Stanley” – Nick Razey
- “Bottom of the Garden” – Andy Campbell
- “Waiting for Father Christmas” – Valerie Lapthorne
…and the winner is…
Mary decided to give points as follows, citing that for the winning image she was considering “innovation” in addition to technical standard:
- “I’m next” – Sherron Razey – 20-points
- “Waiting for Father Christmas” – Valerie Lapthorne – 20-points
- “Bottom of the Garden” – Andy Campbell – 20-points
The remaining held-back images scored 19 points each.
Congratulations to all the winners, especially to Sherron.
