ImageZ camera club is a member of the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC). Each year the CACC organises a championship day for the clubs and the club members. For the 2014/15 season this took the form of three separate events on the same day.
- The Chiltern Hundred Members Exhibition
- The Club Projected Digital Championship
- The Club Print Championship
Chiltern Hundred Members Exhibition
The Chiltern Hundred Members Exhibition was for digital projected images. Every member of a CACC club is entitled to enter their picture. With over forty clubs in the CACC this could be a lot of entries, this year there were 182 pictures entered. Eleven ImageZ members chose to enter this year.
Pictures are scored by a panel of three judges, each judge awards up to five points on the picture for a maximum of 15 points. Just a single image of the 182 entries scored the maximum 15 points, with a couple more scoring 14 points.
The ImageZ members results are shown below, pictures are at the top of the page.
CACC Print Championship
Fifteen images are entered by each club to the print championship. Again the three judges view the prints and score each one out of fifteen points. This means that in theory 225 is the maximum score, but in practice there are few images scoring fifteen at this level. There were a total of 20 CACC clubs contesting this years championship, and when the scores were added up ImageZ scored 159 and placed joint sixth with Park Street CC.
In addition to the club points, each of the judges makes a selection of their favourite image and gives an award plus there is an award for the Best Print in the competition. Julia Cleaver picked up the award from Leo Rich ARPS DPAGB EFIAP/s APAGB for her picture entitled The Young Contessa.
