Jay Charnock has selected the prints for the Chiltern ImageZ 2016 exhibition. It was an amazing range of work from all the entrants, but there can be only one winner. The top three honours go to…
- 1st – Peter Stevens – Harpenden PS
- 2nd – Michael Jaworski – Ealing & Hampshire House PS
- 3rd – Eddie Morton – Amersham PS
Certificates were presented to the awarded authors, and while Peter Stevens wasn’t able to be there, a representative of the Harpenden Photographic Society was present to receive the first place award on Peter’s behalf.
Moving on to the commended and highly commended entries, Jay asked for an additional highly commended award so there are five highly commended images, and six commended.

After the hard work of the afternoon selection, Jay provided a commentary on the selected photos for an audience of photographers from many of the clubs who had provided entries for this years exhibition. It is indeed heartening to see so many people making the trip to ImageZ on a cold Sunday evening. One of Jay’s comments that stuck in my mind, was that smaller prints are currently in favour. Jay identified a number of pictures that would – in her opinion – be improved by being a little smaller in the 40cm x 50cm mount.
Exhibition on display in January 2017
The selected images and all the winning ones will be on display at the Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury from 9-17 January 2017. Make sure to get along and see the fantastic photos.
