Imagez Club Night – IN THE HALL Welcome to the new season and results of the Summer Challenge
Attendees 33 —- 14th September.
Welcome back to everyone with a great start of the season and many people coming along. The atmosphere was vibrant with people genuinely pleased to see each other. The covid rules were applied without too much trouble, the most difficult thing was when Tami and I had to wrestle the plastic gloves on, they were a bit small, and we thought this may go down well as a new Christmas game.
Kathy welcomed everyone back introduced new members and thanked Brian for organising an extremely good Summer Season that had been attended by many club members.
She went on to ask for images for the Rosebowl Competition, and next week’s Critique night and then spoke about the Exhibition we hope to put on at Queens Park Centre next year and the deadline for the competitions changing.
We then sat back to enjoy the entries to the Chairman’s challenge. Many people had put in entries and the standard of work was varied and extremely good.
Some people had met the stranger challenge, and a couple had cheated a little bit. There was a variety of, macros, bokeh, movement, starbursts and intimate landscapes which still needs a bit of discussion around definition. Each club member who entered images described their work and talked about what they liked, where images were taken, and what they found difficult.
All images were met with praise, and humorous ones with a lot of laughter. It was a very enjoyable evening. Kathy was very pleased with the effort that had been made to meet those challenges.
Next week is back to zoom and
