Imagez Club Night – Reviewing Your Intimate Landscape Submissions
25/1/22 Attendees 30
This evening was fun as we reviewed and voted for our favourite images from fellow club members.
The evening followed a previous presentation in November with Peter Cox from Tring Camera Club who came and discussed Intimate Landscapes. He described the Intimate Landscapes genre as a photograph that shows a small scene set in the surrounding environment that includes creativity, uniqueness, and beauty. We were asked to photograph some Intimate Landscapes and enter them for review this evening.
Many members had risen to the challenge and fifty- seven excellent images were produced from twenty- one members. It was difficult in many rounds to decide which was the best image as some members felt they could have voted for all three. The voting and comments were given in good spirits. The external selection committee will now decide which six images from six different authors will go forward to join in a larger competition run by the Tring Camera Club. Peter went on to explain about an inter club competition which ImageZ are hoping to enter (Tring Interclub Intimate Landscape Competition). The competition will be judged by two judges Naomi Saul and Chris Palmer. Clubs from across the area will compete.
The evening was interesting to see how everyone had interpreted the challenge.
