A good turn out for Tuesday evening’s meeting despite the heavy rain. We could hear it thundering down while we sat in the warm hall. No doubt many drove home through flooded roads.
We are lucky to have three qualified and experienced Judges in our membership. Tonight Kathy critiqued the 29 images on her own in a detailed, thorough and helpful way.
There was a good variety of subject matter. Macro, wildlife, street, patterns and abstract to name a few. There were some very impressive ‘works in progress’ images of spinning coins, and jelly beans flying out of a jar! Some pictures were ‘straight out of camera’ so editing tips could start from scratch. There were others where the Authors just wanted some feedback about the image.
A selection of the images submitted for critique
Input from members made for an interesting and interactive evening, giving food for thought. Kathy gave indicators for submitting images for competition, immediate impact being one, and the title can help guide the person looking at the image.
Thank you Kathy for your expertise and tips.
