On Sunday 15th February the CACC held the annual Championship Day. This year ImageZ competed in the PDI championship section for digital images. The selection group chose the 15 pictures to enter.
The championship day is scored by a panel of three judges, who each award a score from 1-5 marks. The maximum score for an image being 15, but it’s unusual for the judges to score an image with a 1 or 2, so the usual scoring range is 9 to 15. This year the judges awarded 5 marks less than in previous years, and only six images in the whole competition were awarded 13 marks, all others were 12 or less.
Our top scoring images were:-
- 9:00am – Paul Mee – 12
- Burning off the Mist – David Jones – 12
- Happisburgh Sunrise – Chenxi Ni – 11
- Misty Valley – Stuart Craig – 11
- Waiting Game – Steve Beckett – 11
As the club scores were totalled up ImageZ had 154 points and finished in 7th place out of the 14 clubs who entered. Well done to Milton Keynes who were 1st with 165 points, Harpenden in 2nd with 163 points and Watford in 3rd with 161 points.
