Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Softbox Kit
This week saw the opening session of this years studio lighting workshop series and it was the time to unveil the newly acquired club studio lights. We have added an Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 twin softbox kit
to our lighting equipment.
A few members who have used the older Elinchrom Classic kit will be pleased to find the new kit is smaller, lighter, has a built-in radio trigger and includes two 60cm square soft boxes.
These things don’t come cheap but the last few years of studio workshops has enabled us to build up funds to buy these for the club. Also to make it simple to track the studio lighting kits, all the club items have yellow tape on them. Yes that includes stands, cables, accessories, the lights themselves and the trigger 🙂
Of course part of the reason for this being Elinchrom kit is that it works with the older lights too so light modifiers can be switched round and what fits the old lights will work with the new lights too.
Models wanted
We are always looking for new models for these workshops, and the upcoming full club studio night at the end of March 2015. If you know anyone who would be interested please ask them to get in touch with me. Just click on the Model for ImageZ text below.
Model for ImageZ
Modelling for ImageZ is fun
Our club needs models to stand, sit and be photographed by our photographers. We use a number of styles of lighting to get different results than what you have seen for your passport or driving license. Models get paid a small amount to cover their expenses and should receive some pictures from our photographers too.
We are looking for character and personality as much as beauty and youth. Most of the time you would be working alongside two, three or more models in a large open studio space. Sometimes we’ll give you some suggestions on clothes to wear or themes other times we’ll ask you to make the choice for us.
If it sounds interesting please fill out the form below.
You’ve left it too late to join the workshops this year
Unfortunately you have missed the opportunity to join this years workshop series, we have a full complement of 20 photographers keen to try their hand at studio lighting, but maybe next year… if you sigin up in September 2015 🙂
