Week 12 30 Attending
The second round of our club challenge proved to be an exciting and informative evening. The evening began with the themed images, the subject was Light .There were 39 amazing images and the subject had been interpreted in many ways from “A Shaft of light,” “Candle Light”, “Fire light,” “Rays of light,” to “Lightbulb moment,” “Light Weight,” “Light at the end of the Tunnel,” “Light fingered,” “Swan Light” and “Coors light.” The imaginations of the participants were on fire.
Micki Aston gave a thoroughly entertaining and informative critique, of all images. She delivered a comprehensive appraisal of each image giving constructive hints on how to improve the image, spattered with her usual humour.
Micki described some of the images as Classy, Impactful, Nicely constructed, and Atmospheric.
She gave advice to us all to:
- Keep compositions clear and simple,
- Make good use of the cropping tool.
- Get a good tonal range in Mono pictures.
- In a snow picture show the crunch and keep good lighting.
She held back several pictures which were scored as follows:
Good Morning 19 Tami Nunley
See the Light 19 David Gibbs
