Well, what fun we all had. Everyone on the Zoom call was adorned with seasonal jumpers, Santa hats and other suitable items including the Chairman wearing a silly red wig and the Programme secretary festooned with lights (you just can’t get the staff these days!) Carol – our social whizz kid – had devised some festive and ‘not too hard’ quizzes – needless to say, they were still challenging and ‘some of us’ did not score that many points! I blame my poor performance on the mulled wine! To end the evening, Carol had created a very funny rhyming poem about various members of the club – we all laughed A LOT!
Chris outlined what is in store for the remainder of the 20-21 season. It all sounds very exciting and interesting. A lot of time and effort is put into the planning of such a good programme so huge thanks to Chris for his dedication. We are a friendly and caring club, sharing knowledge and skills. Our photography is serious, though, and we hope that every member will make progress throughout the year
There were 26 members on the Christmas Call and we do miss those of you who feel Zoom is not your cup of tea or, on this occasion, glass of wine. At the moment there is nothing else we can do to meet together but, if we can help anyone with their technology, please contact me or Chenxi – your smartphone would do the job if your laptop/computer is too challenged. Don’t miss out – Zoom is OK when you get used to it.
Many thanks to Carol for her superb organisation, planning and friendly cajoling.
Every Camera Club needs a Christmas Carol.
