Pictures at an Exhibition (meeting at Queens Park Centre)
March 15th Attendees Approx. 30
The Exhibition of Prints by Imagez opened on Monday 14th March until 7th April and the club met there in the gallery last night for a Private View.
At Queens Park Arts Centre ninety-five images, were displayed with themes ranging from Portraits, Abstracts, Local Beauty Spots, Still Life, Winter scenes, Street life, Wildlife and Moon photography. Prints were displayed in the entrance, coffee bar and large gallery.
A big thank you to the six members who came and helped to put the exhibition up, labouring away with hammers, clips, titles and name cards supplied and catalogued by Laurence. They were David G, Chenxi, Tami, Kathy, John T, Laurence and Carol.
The club members had risen to the challenge not only with their wonderful prints but also the standard of printing and mounting which was mainly carried out by club members Chenxi, David and Brian.
This evening wine was served or fruit juice with a selection of cakes and some tasty biscuits made by Jan Dell. The evening gave members time to socialise, view and to vote for their favourite print, a very difficult decision.
We were sorry that some members were unable to come along as they were unwell, and we wish them a speedy recovery. They were very much missed. Visitors who have viewed the Prints so far have written very complimentary comments.
Finally, a big thank you to Kathy Chantler, Chairman who continues to lead the club and works so hard to keep the development of the club moving forward, she is always full of ideas, and shares her broad knowledge of photography, with us all. She keeps the club alive, busy and always exciting.
A thank you to Chris Andrews who organises an excellent programme, with great speakers, workshops and competitions. Without this programme each year, we would not have had the opportunities and ideas to shoot the prints, which were present at the Exhibition.
Also, thank you to Carol and Laurence who took on the organisation of the Exhibition.
Lastly thank you to all members who come along, participate in a friendly way in all activities and make the club a great place to come along to.

Next week: What did you shoot in Winter?
A really good blog on the evening Carol. It gives a lot of information to anyone who might look at the website, and encourage them to come to the exhibition. Nice photos of the Committee and some of the members.
Thank you Jan for your kind comments.
