Round 3 of the CACC Rosebowl @ ImageZ

Last night ImageZ hosted the third round of the Rosebowl competition run by the CACC. The three teams entering were ImageZ, Amersham Photographic Society and Oxford Photographic Society.
The competition was run on zoom, and members from all clubs could login and view. The judge for the evening was Lloyd Moore from Watford Photographic club.
There were forty- five images of an extremely high standard. There was a variety of subjects featuring architectural, portraits, sport, seascapes and a large assortment of wildlife images. Lloyd enjoyed the composition of ‘The Lone tree,’ he said he liked the ‘stunning light in ‘Finding a host’ and the leading lines of ‘Beach Seat ,Hayling Island.’ He liked the story in the images’ Lion Pride’ and ‘The Cupboard under the Stairs.’ Lloyd went on to find many positive things in all of the images.
He felt that some wildlife images needed a little more environment in the image rather than a totally diffused background.
The competition was exciting as marks seemed evenly distributed. Eventually nine images were held back. The ImageZ members who scored nineteen were the following:

All the scores were all added up and the competition finished with
Third Place ImageZ 254 points
Second Place Amersham 258 points
Third Place Oxford 266 points

Kathy thanked the Lloyd for his interesting and insightful comments.
She congratulated Oxford for coming first and Amersham for coming second. She also congratulated the winning authors.
She thanked all members who entered the competition. She also praised all the members of ImageZ who entered and the large number of members of ImageZ who logged in to support them.
Amersham and Oxford will now go into the Final.
Just another thing to mention is that Jan Dell won the First Place in the North West Federation Print Competition with her’ Tulip’ print .Well done Jan !!
