Our first practical evening of the season started with an Autumnal evening. Our community hall was filled with tables laden with coloured leaves, mushrooms, decaying branches, conkers, acorns, bare shrubs, lichen and some autumn scarves, gloves, and hats with added jewellery.
The room buzzed with enthusiasm as members moved from table to table carrying tripods, cameras, lenses, and lights.
Chris had bought his smoke machine along which enhanced the Autumn set ups with a hazy misty look. Our club is a very collaborative club, and people were soon sharing ideas, helping newer members with their cameras, suggesting lighting angles and discussing shots.
Everyone enjoyed the chance to wander and socialise after the summer break and look at what others were doing. It was a fun evening and a great kick off to our practical evenings. This was the first evening arranged by Martin who is supporting Chris this year with the programme by taking on the practical evenings. Martin wanted to give a very big thank you to Brian and Chris who both worked really hard offering advice, bringing equipment and lighting, supplying the woodland debris, and setting up scenes for people to photograph.

The evening passed quickly and was enjoyed by all.
