18th February 2025
Tuesday evening was the third round of our Challenge cup Competition and had two rounds. The first round was a themed round called Power, and twenty-seven images had been entered. The second round after the break was an Open round and had twenty-eight entries.
Our Judge Colin Mill from Milton Keynes took time on each image and gave a thoughtful and meticulous critique. The Power theme was interpreted in many ways including Electrical, Steam and Waterpower, Stags locking horns, the power of the femme fatale, elements of weather, an athlete poised to run and wildlife attacking.
Results for Power were as follows:
- Kathy Chantler – Powered by Nature – 20 & Judges Choice
- Barry Coxon – Water – 20
- Chenxi Ni – Powered Up – The City in Motion – 20
- Peter Carter – ATTACK!!! The best form of defence – 19

- Neil Tingle – Ready, Set, Go! – 19
Well, done all. Very well-done Kathy to get the Judges choice.
After the tea break we continued with the Open round.
This round had a varied and interesting collection of images and again Colin took time to examine them. These included fantastic wildlife and Birds, Beautiful models, Frozen Pansy’s
