Last Tuesday was the Club Challenge round five for our members. The scores members are given in accrue as they complete each round, under a Themed Round and an Open Round.
Weather
The theme this week was Weather which gave us many icy scenes, dark brooding skies, lashing waves, Rainbows, and dripping rain.
Our Judge Damon Guy gave an inspiring critique, giving each image a thorough evaluation and some good advice for us all in the audience.
Damon held back six images and results were:
- Good drying Weather – Tami Nunley – 18
- Mum its Raining – Steve Allsop – 18
- Winters grip – Lynn Day – 19
- Keeper of the Storm – Chenxi Ni – 20
- Ice on Wendover Canal – Alun Morgan – 20
- Distant Storm – David Jones – 20 Judges Choice
Congratulations to all to those members especially, Alun, Chenxi, who score twenty and David who scored twenty and also was awarded the Judges Choice.
Open
In our second round the Open round there was a wide variation of images which included many super landscapes, wildlife, portraits cityscapes, a scene from Notting Hill Carnival, St Bartholomew’s, and York Minister.
Damon enjoyed many of the images describing them as Powerful, creative some portraying character and culture.
Damon held back seven images, and the results were as follows:

Certificates were given out and well done to all those members especially Steve Gunn and Brian Worley who both got 20 marks.
