It was a cool but clear evening for the first meeting of our summer programme when about 20 members gathered in Wendover. Our challenge was to find and photograph street objects – or anything really – that would fit the alphabetic challenges for W X Y and Z with creativity and imagination allowed!
We set off in groups or individually in all directions to see what we could see. Meeting up later it was interesting to hear what had been found on buildings, in the park, along the roads, up high and low down, distant and close up.
Several of us went along to a local pub for a much needed drink – some of us astonished by the astronomical price of a glass of wine; we needed the wine to get over the shock of paying for it!
A fun and sociable evening and many thanks to Carol for setting the challenge – some examples set out below.
