Club Challenge Round 2
The second round of the club challenge had 23 entries in both the OPEN and Distortion theme sections with a wide creative variation of styles and approaches.
Theme: Distortion
Our Judge Lloyd Moore, gave a fair judgement of whether each image had met the brief and added insightful critique and sound advice on trying improvements. Some images needed more of a focal point and some Mono images merged tones together without enough definition. Lloyd said that the overall standard of images was very good and much thought had gone into the subject which was met very well.
Lloyd held back a total of nine images, and the scores were as follows:
- Kes Ward – The Soft Distortion of being – 20 Judges Choice
- Tony Cashen – Distorted Light – 20
- Steve Allsop – Centre Point – 19
- Kathy Chantler- Fisheye view of Canary Wharf – 19
- David Jones – Truth or Trash – 19
Open
After the break the Open section held twenty-three images with a great variation ranging from Wildlife in England to Wildlife in Africa and South America, Street photography, Landscape. Motor cross, Natural History and London motion and movement.
Lloyd held back five images, and the scores were as follows:
- Steve Gunn – Time to Reflect – 20 Judges Choice
- Tami Nunley – I’m Gunna Get Ya – 20
- Paul Benham – Sunrise from Dunkery Beacon – 19
- Tony Cashen – Cancer -Just one wish – 19
- Chris D’Netto – Zambian Leopard – 19
It was good to see how people had explored the title Distortion and the Open section held many very creative and technically good images.
