An evening of two halves. Brian will demonstrate the club studio lighting kit we have available for members to borrow and shoot with. After tea/coffee, Carol will talk us through the life and work of a notable photographer.

Following on from the meeting back in November where you critiqued and scored a set of images, this night will be all about how you can use software tools and features to address some of that critique to enhance images and improve their reception from judges in competitions.

An evening of practical instruction and knowledge sharing on the use of hardware photography filters and their use in long exposure photography lead by Chris Andrews. Chris will talk through some of the myriad of hardware filters options (with example hardware that can be examined in the break period) and then a session on long exposure and how filters are a critical element in that process.

This is the third winner on the night competition. This is a mixed fomat competition, PDI and print, maximum two images per member (one print, one PDI).

Are you anxious about aperture? Frustrated with focal length? Stumped about sensors? In this talk we'll be getting lost in lenses as we explore the effects of aperture, focal lengths on our photography. We'll look at different types of lenses including wide angle, telephoto, macro, tilt & shift and special effects lenses. Covering the differences that sensor size has on our choice of lens, and the implications of switching from crop sensor to full frame.

Fourth round of the annual club challenge. This round is mixed format, PDI and PRINT, maximum two images per member (one PDI, one PRINT).

We all end up with far more gear than we probably need if we're honest. Maybe it is too easily giving into the temptation of a "bargain" or a show special, maybe you've had a change of direction with your photography and don't need something that was bought for a specific purpose. Perhaps you've upgraded or changed camera systems. Or maybe you've just got too many books or magazines. If you fall into any of these categories this is night for you. Your chance to sell, exchange or give away surplus equipment or related photography paraphernalia.

We would love to see more prints at Imagez!

This will be a night dedicated to helping you better understand approaches to first printing and then mounting your images for club competitions and exhibitions.

Weather permitting, we will meet in the hall car park at 7pm and then group together to see what we can find to shoot in the area around Weston Turville before returning for a cup of tea and perhaps a chat about what we found.

All the best scoring images from this season's competitions go head to head. The judge will whittle down the pool before members vote for their winners.
