Petra Smythe wins
It was the first round of the new style ImageZ Club Challenge and the entries were all of a high standard and there were plenty of them. Thanks to the members that entered a total of 68 pictures for our judge Amanda Wright from Ealing and Hampshire House Photographic Society. Both the Open and “Summer” theme sections were well supported with slightly more entries in the Summer category.
Petra Smythe took the honours on the night with pictures scoring 20 in both categories, plus a third entry also scoring 18. She was closely followed by Julia Cleaver scoring a 19 in the open and 20, plus judges favourite in the Summer section. Aussie Allan was third with a 20 and an 18 in the open and summer sections respectively. Judges favourite image in the open section went to Brian Worley. Judges favourites don’t get any extra points or stars but in the event of a tie at the end of the season we might have to count them so they are marked in red on the scoresheet. Sally Kilpin also scored 20 for her entry in the Summer section.

Don’t forget that the next round is only on 9th of October and will be Night for the theme, and then an Open section. Please make sure to get entries in to the Club.Competitions secretary by midnight on Saturday 6th of October. As one member did find out last night, we just can’t and won’t accept entries on a memory stick on the night. Please use the process for submission of entries written on the club website and carefully check your filenames too.
