Last night saw our first print competition of the season which was a winner on the night competition with a theme of ‘movement’, judged by Paul de Sylva of Hemel Hempstead Photographic Society.
Winner on the night
Second place

Forest Stage by Brian Worley
Third place
We had a total of 33 prints to judge on the evening which was a good turnout compared to our last print competition back in April, but we would love to see more next time!
On the night we decided to try a new layout with tables either side of the hall for the prints, and a camera setup to take shots of the images in their mounts as they went in the light box to be projected on the big screen. This felt like it went well on the night so we would love to hear any comments you might have as this does seem like a good way to run print competitions in the future.
Looking forward, our next competition is on December 4th which is round 3 of the Club Challenge with both a set theme of ‘Past’, and an ‘Open’ section. Judge for the evening will be John Credland from Buckingham Camera Club. It should be a great evening and the record to beat is the 76 images we had in the last round!
Thanks again to all that entered and please do send any comments in!
Well done Danny!:-)
