Second place for ImageZ

Brian, Aussie Allan and Kevin made the trip over to Woodley to see the 3rd and final round of the CACC Rosebowl competition, a round that pitted us against Amersham, Wycombe and Woodley. With Amersham and Wycombe having previously won their earlier two rounds and Woodley having a tied first place and a second the battle was going to be tough.

Peter Jackman from Princes Risborough judged the competition fairly and with an unenviable job due to the very high standard of photos.

At the half-time break it was very tight partly due to a high number of held back pictures, but at the end it was a win for Amersham with 271pts and second for ImageZ with 266 points.

Kevin Grove’s picture Under Sail Forever scored the maximum 20 points and was awarded one of the two stars on the night, just as it had done in round 2 at Buckingham.

Many thanks to Woodley for hosting the battle, it’s quite possible that all four clubs from this round will be in the Final.

Uncounted chickens & the Rosebowl Final

Not wishing to count our chickens before they have hatched; but this second place, and our previous win and second place, should give us 11 points in the league. The exact same score that we acheived to get in to the Rosebowl Final last year. Best make sure that Sunday 14th of April is kept open in the diary for the final (I hope). The last of the third round battles is on the 28th of February after this we should know if we have done enough to make the Final 🙂
