Hi Folks,
A really good turn out of club members at Brill last night and plenty to photograph. It was a lovely evening but a bit too much wind for the lighting stands to hold firm. I set off early and used the sat nav to get me to Brill which seemed to want to take me there via Broadstairs lol

but more members kept arriving during the evening and we were split into groups with lighting and a model available for each group

The lighting down again lol

Chenxi shows one of his photographs to the model

Some of the club’s ladies discussing new cameras with Carol’s shadow looking interested too

our third model is a gymnast

lovely scenery as a background

Also the windmill steps to use

a model in the grass and not Lawrence falling down a hole

The club’s experts getting the right poses from the models

Members lining up their shots

Then the models had a change of clothes

Against the sun which was beginning to set

but difficult without flash units to capture the redness of sun

but better chances as it got lower

Then two of the models together pointing fingers

so much to take in one evening

models having a rest lol

whilst last shots were taken.

A lovely evening and afterwards the windmill lit up.
On the way home I saw the biggest harvest moon that I have ever see but it had disappeared on arriving home. However, spent some time after midnight trying to photograph Mars which is now at its closest to earth for many years
Thank you to Julia, Steve and Chenxi for setting up all the equipment and the three models who volunteered to be photographed
next meet up is the last summer one in two weeks time
Imagez Summer Season – Exploring Aylesbury Town
Tuesday August 14, 2018 from 19:15 to 21:15
A photograpy based walk around the town, weather permitting we should be in the twilight hour. Meet in the grounds of St Mary’s church in the centre of the town. A camera and a tripod are recommended.

Another good blog Derek. It was a lovely evening together at the Brill Windmill. We all seemed to enjoy ourselves, and went for a drink in the pub afterwards. My thanks to Julia and Steve for organising it. I look forward to the next outing in a couple of weeks time.
