Hi Folks,
Last Tuesday the club had the second round of the challenge cup, the theme was ‘go’ along with the ‘Open’ entries. The Judge for the evening was Sandy Watson who was a Wallingford CC member but I believe now he is just an independent photographer.
Unfortunately I can’t give comments on what the judge said about each picture but the marking were quite low especially in the ‘Go’ entries where a number of images in the judge’s eye seemed to fail the criteria. As only two images were marked 19 and 20 I have added the 18’s in the ‘Go’ theme.
So in no particular order the judge gave 18’s to the following pictures
the first titled ‘Go with the flow’ by Chenxi Ni, 18 points
The next was titled ‘Going up’ by Chenxi Ni, 18 points
the next was titled ‘Racing the Dragons’ by Peter Carter, 18 points
The next was titled ‘Wait, Wait, Go’ by Tami Nunley, 18 points
The next one received a 19
Titled ‘It’s time to Go’ by David Gibbs and also received Judge’s choice
But the winner and receiving 20 points
Was titled ‘What He’s Really Thinking’ by David Jones
Interval for coffee and then the open round
The following scored 19 points
The first is titled ‘Aston Rowant Memorial – Standing with Giants’ by Mike Ward, 19 points
The next is titled ‘Keeper of the Castle’ by Kathy Chantler, 19 points
The next was titled ‘Omega’ by Barry Coxon, 19 points
The next was titled ‘Sunny Days by the Beach’ by Sherron Razey, 19 points
The next two scored 20 points
The first was titled ‘Hitching a Lift’ by David Gibbs, 20 points and Judge’s choice
The final one was titled ‘Reflections of Rosie’ by Brian Worley also scoring 20
So with David Gibbs getting 39 points overall and Judge’s choice in both sections he moves up the table.
Chenxi Ni still hangs on to the lead with 75 points followed closely by Brian Worley who bagged 37 points to add to his previous 37 score making an overall total of 74.
Brian Coxon is now in third place with 72.
David Gibbs with an impressive 39 points moves up to 70 points sharing places with Kathy Chantler, Mike Perry and Mike Ward all on 70 points
So after a topsie turvy round the scores are now as follows
The next meeting is on the 7th January after the Christmas Break
ImageZ Club Night
