Last night we had a very high standard of images entered for both rounds of the Challenge Cup. It was the second round of our five round accumulative contest.
The first round’s theme was Arches or Alleyways and forty-three images were put forward. There were a variety of images including Viaducts, Churches both interior and exterior, a shopping area and alleyways in various towns including London and St Ives.
The second round the Open had a total of forty one images making the overall total of eighty four images which had to be critiqued by our judge Lloyd Moore.
Lloyd worked through the images giving excellent positive critiques with comments such as ‘good dynamic range,’ ‘great symmetry’, and ‘this image is about shape, texture and regression.’
Some images Lloyd said were a little grey and flat while other lacked interest. Lloyd particularly like images with a good narrative that told a story.
