The weather was kind again as we assembled near St Mary’s Church; in the end there were twenty club members, so a good turn-out. Our leader, Carol, had the evening planned with meetings points but the freedom to roam as we chose, to fulfil the brief of capturing images indicating the letters A, B, C, D, E. It was amazing as to what can be found in the normal town setting.
The informal nature of the gathering enabled us to chat as we walked and get to know fellow members. Carol superbly managed the difficult task of ‘herding the cats’ along the planned route, scooping up those that strayed and keeping everyone on task. We finished the evening with a drink in the White Hart – we’d deserved it!
It was a great fun evening with positive photography too. A small selection of images is shown below, and members will get the chance to display more of their summer ‘work’ at our first evening back in our hall on Tuesday 12th September; a selection of images from the evening is shown below
A BIG THANK YOU to Carol for organising the evening with her usual charm and good nature.
A selection of pictures taken by members on the night, can you guess the letter for each one?
We have one more trip for our summer season with an ‘outing’ to Birmingham on Sunday 20th August. Details for the day will be emailed out to members but contact Kathy if you are interested.
