A very different from normal gathering at the Hall for our Christmas celebrations, with Christmas jumpers and Santa hats compulsory attire. We were sorry to have some members absent through illness while others had relatives arriving or were heading elsewhere to visit relatives.
Tables with cloths and decorations greeted members, plus a fantastic spread of party food organised by the ever thoughtful and cheerful Carol. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to chat with other members about anything and everything, not necessarily related to photography. Our resident DJ (Alan Taberer) organised the music which added to the ambiance of the occasion.
As well as food and drink, Carol soon had us working at one of her amazing Quizzes where we had to guess a well-known carol or Christmas song from a literal interpretation of the first line – challenging!
Then, after a break for more food and drink, tables had to work together to identify various objects inside a Christmas stocking or hat by feeling without seeing; the looks of concentration on faces were entertainment in themselves! Many thanks go to Carol, who works tirelessly for the club, for putting together such an amazing and enjoyable evening.
We meet again after Christmas on 9th January for a practical session; details are in the club programme and an email will be sent out ahead of the date.
