Welcome back to all members and we are very pleased to say hello to five new prospective members who came along on Tuesday to join us for the first evening.
Caroline our chairman opened the evening with a welcome to all and brief summary of the evening’s events.
Martin and Cathy started by talking through the seasons new program which Brian kindly projected onto the screen.
We have some good events coming up including competitions, speakers in the first two parts of the season including:
- Smartphone Photography – Guest Speaker – Jeanette Lendon (Jet Black Squares)
- Mastering Portrait Photography – Guest Speaker – Paul Wilkinson
We also have workshop sessions:
- Bite Sized Photography
- Know your Own Camera

Brian shared a slideshow of image that looked back over the Summer Program, and various members gave details of the summer evening’s locations and themes.
After our tea break when members got chance to catch up with each other and the new members we continued with the slide show of many of the images taken on the Summer Program including the Morris Dancing feature , a visit to Wotton House and a walk around Wendover and the Reservoir at Tring.
Day walks included two walks to different parts of London lead by Chris and Damon and a walk around Oxford lead by Brian. All very much enjoyed by the people who attended and plenty of photo opportunities for competitions.
Next is the Informal critique session when good advice is handed out to those who have submitted their images by our two in- house judges. So, looking forward to to that.
