On Tuesday evening our members entered forty- six images for an informal critique. ImageZ is fortunate to have three members who are also qualified CACC competition judges. For this evening Alan Taberer, a founder member of the club gave critique on the images presented. Alan has a well versed, knowledgable style and entertaining delivery.
We had a large variety of images, Landscapes, Portraits, Action, Street, Architectural and Creative.
Alan gave each image positive feedback and ways to improve the image. He also reminded us of some more basic guidelines like the rules of thirds and inspecting the image around the edges for mistakes before entering for competitions. Alan said simple images are often popular as less is sometimes more. He discussed composition and taking our scene from a different viewpoint.
The evening passed very quickly, and it was extremely helpful to listen to others critiques as well as our own. You can see some of the images below put forward for critique.

At the end of the evening Chris reminded us that next week is Jeanette Lendon from Jet Black Squares. She is a great trainer and speaker and has set up a business all over the country teaching people how to achieve great photos on their mobile phone. Jeanette is a very vibrant and interesting speaker so don’t miss this evening.

A very interesting and entertaining evening. Took home lots of little tips and ideas to try presenting in a different format. Thank you Alan.
