4th August 2026
Last night thirteen of our club members met up at Coombe Hill. The weather was warm and the light very good for landscape photography. Many of us took advantage of this.
Brian had kindly bought along lighting, soft boxes, and reflectors to enhance our photography, and Alicia also joined us as our model for the evening.
We welcomed a new lady Zoe who had come along for a taster evening.
The hill was reasonably quiet, and we were able to position ourselves around the monument. Alicia began by posing at a corner of the monument so that the background sky and fields added to the images.
Many of us enjoyed talking to and photographing Alicia who was very charming, and she coped very well, even when the evening began to get colder and a rather unruly wind got up.
Once again, we all enjoyed meeting up and swapping stories of latest camera equipment, holidays and photography projects. Alicia moved across to a more sheltered tree while some of us waited for the sunset and photographed an ever-changing sky.
The evening was very pleasant if surprisingly a bit cold towards the end of our couple of hours and thank you to Brian for organisation and equipment and Alicia for modelling.
Here’s a selection of the photos from the evening
