Saturday 15th August
On Saturday nine members from ImageZ Camera club went on a walk around Oxford City for our the last activity of the Summer Events Calendar.
We met outside the Westgate Centre and headed off towards the old prison now turned into to a very smart hotel.
We ambled at a comfortable pace along the Oxford Canal where an array of colourful boats moored. We carried on into Jericho where more interesting sights along Canal Street could be photographed including the Bookbinders pub. Brian then took us past several recently constructed university buildings before we reached St Giles. Here the route took us down the Lamb & Flag Passage to Parks Road.
Stopping for a quick coffee at the Natural History & Pitt Rivers museum, we then proceeded towards the covered market for a lunch stop.

Group selfie at Oriel College
After meeting back up again, Brian led us to Oriel College which we all decided would be nice to enter, especially at the reasonable price of three pounds. The Gardens were immaculate and the Old College was beautiful. We we got lovely images of the Dining Hall and the Church.
Heading back to the Westgate we went up to the top floor to take photographs of the many Oxford Spires.
The walk was very enjoyable, with much good humour, conversation and interesting facts supplied by Brian.
We headed home about four pm.
Below are a selection of photographs taken.
Thank you to Brian for a lovely day with good organisation and lots to photograph.
