6th October 2026
Tuesday’s Members’ Evening provided an enjoyable and fascinating look at the photographic journeys of a number of our members.
Those who volunteered were each invited to choose five milestone images from their photographic journey and share the stories behind them. The result was a varied and interesting evening, with a great mix of subjects, photographic styles and personal experiences.
With so many members taking part, there was plenty to enjoy and plenty of variety. The stories behind the photographs also gave us an insight into the different reasons why and how particular images had become important or memorable along the way.
Many thanks to all those who contributed their time and shared their photographs and stories:
Steve Allsop, Alan Taberer, Christine D’Netto, Kathy Chantler, Derek Green, Zoe Ludlow, Alun Morgan, Tami Nunley, Mike Ward, Paul Mee, Stuart Craig, Chris Andrews and Martin Hommel.
My Five Milestone Photos – a selection of the presented images
It was a great opportunity to celebrate the diversity of photography within the club and to see how each member’s photographic journey has developed in their own way. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, with some excellent images and, perhaps most importantly, some great stories behind them.
