In the last week or so there’s been a young female Osprey spotted at Weston Turville Reservoir. Not the normal kind of raptors we see round these parts very often. Apparently the car parks were pretty full of birdwatchers over the weekend.
Several members have been out to see the Osprey and give their skills at capturing birds in flight a bit of a workout.
Nick Razey sent these in…
There was a huge bird standing in our meadow with a dead pigeon. It was much bigger than a kite. The reservoir is about half a mile from us. Could it have been the osprey. If not , what on earth was it. Granddaughter said it was a vulture!
