Hi Folks,
Presentation Night 24th May 2016
Well what a night last night with over thirty of our club members attending the presentation night and dinner at the Five Bells.
For some members there was a lot at stake
With the club’s main trophy said by some to have been found under a hedge by a dog called Pickles
Once members were seated the starters were served to those that had requested them
whilst others opting out had a general chat over a drink
Julia peruses some of John’s photographs, John has popped over to us for a few weeks as a guest to get ideas for his Princes Risborough camera club
After which the dinner of ham hock or steak was provided.
Now Vicki told us not to use flash when taking pictures of food
Followed by treacle tart for some
others the apple crumble
Then it was presentation time
And Aussie Allan carried out his last duties as chairman by presenting certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each of the club competition rounds. It was decided to pass the certificates over to each person which all happened a bit quick for my camera lol
Julia was delighted to receive her certificate for the open round with the two girls in the enchanted place
And also Kathy with hers from her picture of the trick cyclist creating shadows
Then Steve received one of his many certificates for best ‘acting role’ and even perhaps ‘the best photographer’s hat’ lol and of course all the rounds he won in the competitions
Then a certificate for Dave
This next certificate and prize is for Bev, said Allan
which Bev receives
Could Dawn be left with a wooden spoon
No chance, a prize for her superb LP covers
Allan does a Harry Potter stance to get the next certificate
Which goes to Chris our new Chairman for the Broken theme
then a certificate for John with his picture of motion in the open round
There was a special certificate given to Dawn by Allan for Dawn’s wonderful progress in photography this year
Lots of people I missed especially Luke who has done so well, so sorry for not getting a decent photograph pillars were getting in the way
but this leads us on to the overall winner of this seasons club’s competitions
Aussie Alan the previous winner hands over the trophy to Steve, telling him that it is his to keep for a year.
I don’t think Allan is planning to speak to Sony for a estimate for the making of a club gold ‘drone’ trophy yet
Steve then gives us a little speech on how we at the club have all inspired him this year
A bunch of flowers were given to Vicki for her services to the club
Sherron thanked Allan for his services as chairman with a round of applause
I personally didn’t get a certificate of course but that’s the way the cookie crumbles but there is always next season
now where is my custard lol
A great evening and well done to everyone who won, and to the rest of us keep going we could all win one day. Have a great summer and see you at the first summer social.
