Thank you to Kathy Chantler for providing the text and a selection of images from the other Tuesday night…
Derek is on holiday! (Almost as bad as reading ‘MATT IS AWAY!) This won’t be the usual blog style but will give a flavour of the evening for those that missed it.
The evening was well attended and, again, we were fortunate to have calm and sunny weather, Just the night for a run by the canal which is just what our model, Emma, was set to do. Brian sorted out flash lights for us so we were all able to have a go at the action shots.
Emma needed a rest after running 10 paces up and down lots of times, so perched on a stile – more paparazzi shots from the assembled members! A large silver reflector was used so that everyone could shoot regardless of their camera and not have to wait for the light to be ready.
There were other opportunities for photography along the tow path, in the woods and across the fields – everyone left happy with what they had achieved.
It just shows what a friendly club we are with two members sharing a camera!! One (who I shall not name!) had forgotten a spare camera battery so another ‘shared’ the camera taking turns to put in their own cards!
Several found their way to a nearby pub at the end of the evening for a well deserved ‘pint’.
The next summer meeting is on Tuesday 18th July for the Car Treasure Hunt. We will gather in the car park at our club venue in Weston Turville, organise ourselves into groups and head off to follow the clues provided by Chris and Annie Andrews. It was great fun last year so do come along – there will be a lot of car sharing and probably a drink in the Five Bells at the end.
