You may recall that ImageZ is now entered in the Camera Club of the Year Competition run through Photography News. I have just made our first entry of five images within round 2 and the theme of ‘Portraits’ – the rule is the images have to be from different photographers. The portraits selected were from Chris Andrews, Steve Beckett, Chenxi Ni, John Timbrell and Brian Worley. When I know the scores I’ll let you know.
Now these are all from the chaps – so, come on girls (particularly) give me some options for the next round – I do want the entries to be representative of the club and not always from the same members. Each round another five photographers can be selected as we see fit.
The next round is themed ‘Capturing the Decisive Moment’ so do look through your files and let me have images when you pressed the shutter at just the right time! I need your files by Friday 26th January as I have to have the entry in to Photography News by 4th February. So do get looking – it doesn’t matter when the image was taken. Don’t worry about resizing, although please make sure the longest side is at least 1500mm – the selected five for the entry will be resized to the precise PN requirements.
Good news, we came 7th overall in this round of the competition, check out the scores (and work from the winning club) in the latest Photography News. A cracking result given this is open to clubs across the UK and is our fist try.
Brilliant result.
