A few ImageZ’ members joined a LIGHT WORK workshop run by Brian Worley; it was held in the Penguin Stu6io in Thame with all the backdrops and props we might need, and we were joined by Alicia, a model with a difference.
Starting with shadows and how natural sunlight affected their quality, we moved through using single light sources and then to double. The benefits of using a light meter was demonstrated and then practised. The afternoon passed quickly with plenty of opportunities to put into practice what we were being taught. Should Brian offer to run the workshop again we would all highly recommend it – great value for money for the benefits gained.
Any other members interested in learning about lighting should contact Brian via his website, or speak to him at one of the club meetings. He’s happy to run this workshop again if there is sufficient interest.
Images below were taken during the workshop, illustrating the fun we all had and the tasks achieved.
