Tuesday evening was our third round of the ‘Winner on the Night’ competition. Forty PDIs were entered and fourteen prints. The Theme for the PDI round was ‘Degradation’ and this subject was interpreted in many diverse ways in our entries.
Broken Piers, dying flowers, shipwrecks, decaying buildings, urban mess, human degradation and even mouldy sprouts were just some of the ranges of creative scenes photographed by our members.
In the Open Print round, we had a number of beautiful landscapes and rugged sea scenes, three amazingly varied portraits, two highly creative images and a beautiful flower.
Our judge Peter Prosser had kindly stepped in last minute for the evening and took on the challenge. His comments were detailed, measured, encouraging and instructive. We thank Peter very much for keeping the evening interesting and informative.
