On Thursday 14th of May, the club ventured off to Tring for the Three Counties Challenge competition for panels of images. Our fifteen entries had been chosen by members at the recent selection evening, so it was now time to test them against the entries from Tring & District CC and Leighton Buzzard Photographic Society.
Judge for the evening was the highly experienced Micki Aston, and she set forth on the task of critiquing the 45 panels with supportive feedback as well as praise. There were many images held back before the final top three placings, highly commended and commended awards were given.
We were pleased to have eight of our panels win awards, including first place.
- 1st – Chenxi Ni – Grey Heron Fishing
- Highly commended – Stuart Craig – At the Protest
- Highly commended – Steve Gunn – Thrice as Scary!
- Commended – Stuart Craig – Sunglasses
- Commended – Chenxi Ni – Study of Water
- Commended – John Timbrell – Architectural Triptych
- Commended – Kes Ward – Fancy a Glass or 2 or…
- Commended – Brian Worley – Bare Face Cheek
After all the scores were tallied up, ImageZ had won with Tring in second and Leighton Buzzard third place.
