This aim of this ImageZ evening was to select fifteen panels from the fifty plus images that our members had entered to go forward into the Three Counties Challenge.
We had previously attended an evening that was led by Kathy Chantler to look at the subjects of Triptychs and discover how to construct a good set of images.
The fifteen that have been selected will go on to join in an inter-club competition The Three Counties Challenge on May 18th with Tring & District Camera Club and Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club who will also be entering fifteen panels each.
Our members surpassed themselves with wonderful images with many different subjects. Many of the panels were made up of three images and some five and six. Kathy gave all members a crib sheet on what to look for when choosing their fifteen images;
- Meaningful title
- Impact,
- Subject
- Composition
The images were set on a continuous loop so that our members could sit and discuss their thoughts. After everyone had voted and scores were being added a few people talked through their images, how they had achieved them, where they were taken and some technical aspects.
We cannot give out information on the winners as the inter club competition is still to be held. Below is a small selection of images that were entered.
The evening was most enjoyable and gave us all the chance to sit in the judges’ shoes.
Next weeks meeting is on Zoom.
A nice evening and a good blog Carol.
Thank you Jan I think a lot of people enjoyed it.
