Inter-Club “Match a Slide”
25/3/23 Attendees Approx 50
A good time was had by all at the Match a Slide Competition on Tuesday evening at ImageZ Camera Club.
Two clubs were invited to play against ImageZ, Buckingham and Leighton Buzzard. The hall was set up with three screens so that each club could present their slides. In turn, each club took turns to presented an image they hoped would be difficult to match. The other two teams did their best to find images that had something to resemble the first slide. The images were also judged on quality.
The judge was Colin Mill from Milton Keynes photography group, and he gave a witty aside to his commentary as well as making the competition more intense by giving the teams 60 seconds to sort their matching image.
Colin did a superb job and stood strong against the friendly barracking and banter. There were many laughs during the evening and during tea break , cakes and chocolate biscuits were served to bribe the other contestants. Seriously, it was a great evening.
A few of the images put forward were difficult to match, and some excellent quirky photos were entered. The image of the night had to be of a single lighted match from Buckingham which easily fitted the title of the competition. There was laughter and applause when this went up. All teams played with good hearted zest. ImageZ won the competition, but Buckingham and Leighton Buzzard were worthy runners up. Kathy thanked the other teams and Colin for their contributions to the evening. Both teams thanked Imagez for their hospitality.
