At the start back to our new season, we began with a welcome from Caroline to all, especially to our three new members Sandra, Zoe and Jacob. Caroline outlined the evening and handed over to Stuart to discuss this year’s finances.
We continued with Carol who introduced the review of the Summer Programme which was accompanied by selection of an images taken by the many members who came along to each event. We had volunteer speakers from each event who gave excellent talks about our outings.
Carol and Tami spoke about the fun evening in Thame looking for images that incorporated LMNO either by first letter of shape. The group retired to The James Figg pub for a welcome drink at the end of the evening.
Damon spoke about the walk he led around London’s tourist spots and Steve spoke about a walk Chris had led looking at the fabulous modern architecture of London.
Cathy talked about the informative nature walk at Watlington Hill she led when people captured images of many butterflies and red kites.
Stuart spoke about our evening on Coombe Hill photographing the lovely Alicia against a super sunset. The evening and model had been organised by Brian.
Lastly Brian talked about his amazing walk leading us around Oxford including the old Prison now a rather flashy hotel, up to the Canal, onto Canal Street, Oriel College and the Covered market.
After our break Ken and Cathy talked us through a presentation they had worked on with Chris summarising the ethos of the club and the thoughts behind this year’s programme. They explained what we hoped to achieve through Competitions Themes, Practical evenings and explained how the Speakers provided Inspiration and knowledge including the Speakers from our own club. The need for volunteers was touched on and getting as much out of the club as possible.
It was a very encouraging presentation, and a great start to the new season at ImageZ.
