Hi Folks,
Last night it was presentation night and food was provided by the club. I had survived on just a radish since 4 pm so looking forward to the evening. Tables and chairs were laid out just like an Oscar awards night but I had less chance of winning unless Chris made a mistake like La La Land and that did not end up winning either lol.
The first event was the food
There were about four or five different cheeses, so good choice Gromit
and various desserts for afters
under starters orders lol
quiz papers were placed on each table during the interval on this social session
After food had been eaten and the quiz answers given, it was the time for the presentation awards
Here Peter Carter is receiving a certificate for the first winner of the night competition
Brian Worley receiving a certificate for second place in the second winner of the night competition
you can’t stop this man Chenxi Ni winning this time the black and white competition
But Lawrence Doyle equalled him jointly winning the same black and white competition
Jan Dell makes the big time with her wonderful ice picture and coming second in the black and white competition
Peter Carter winning the open round in the club’s challenge cup competition
This man Alan Tabener wins two of the theme rounds in the challenge cup competition
and our Dave Cullinmore only entering two images in the last open round wins and said I must remember to enter a few more lol
However, Chenxi is back again getting judge’s choice in the refreshing theme round for having the most natural picture
So it was Chenxi to take this year title of the League challenge cup winner again . Well done to him
After the awards
Chris Andrews our chairman was stepping down and gave a nice speech. He said it had been a pleasure to work with the club. As a club we had arranged speakers, done demonstrations but he said it was the club members who have made this club what it is by sharing their knowledge. He is now passing the role on to Kathy Chantler who will make a very good chair person.
