- Imagez Club Night – Practical Night –
- Macro Photography lead by Mike Perry.
Tuesday 18.4.23
We met in Weston Turville Community Centre car park at seven thirty complete with Cameras’ lenses and tripods. After a short briefing from Mike we
walked to an area behind the Community centre where various flowers were growing and began to put into practice Macro photography. Some members had macro lenses and others used the Macro setting on their kit lens.
Mike was on hand to help anyone requiring support and after a brief time when the light began to fade, we came into the hall. Tea and coffee were served whilst various tabletop settings were arranged.
These included a table of Cut -glass Decanter stoppers, Lotus Flower pods and a Dried Chilli case. Another table had tulips and tiny wildflowers, another table had a magnifying glass ball and various small objects. Barry had bought along a super long lens which he used to photograph a green pepper case enabling close study of the seeds inside. Many members enjoyed using this. Lastly our live action table consisted of various lettuce leaves and a selection of live snails which performed by coming out of their shells and climbing on the lettuce, with the aid of super direction from Chris and Andrew.
Our members strolled from table to table enjoying the chance to chat, discuss photography, shutter speeds, aperture sizes, ISO numbers and lighting. More able members supported the less experienced and the atmosphere was very lively and friendly.
Later we will be looking at the finished photographs taken that evening which will be very entertaining.
Here are a few members enjoying their evening and some results.
Thank you to Mike.
